The President’s Office announced on March 13 the appointment of Kevin Bistoquet as Director General of the Seychelles National Bureau of Statistics. His appointment is effective March 1, 2025.

Holding a Master of Science in Official Statistics from the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom, the official also completed the Seychelles Executive Leadership Program in 2024 at the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government in the United Arab Emirates.

With ten years of experience in this field, he began his career in 2010 as a mathematics professor before joining the National Bureau of Statistics in 2013 as a statistician. The new Director General then rose through the ranks, becoming Senior Statistician in 2016 and again in 2018. In 2023, Bistoquet joined the Abu Dhabi Statistics Centre as a Statistical Portfolio Planning Expert.

Prior to his appointment, Kevin Bistoquet served as Acting Deputy Director General. His expertise and leadership will be instrumental in strengthening the production and analysis of statistical data in Seychelles.
