The AfCFTA entrusts its communication to Alexandre Siewe

Alexandre Siewe has been appointed Senior Advisor in charge of the Communications Division at the Secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) in Accra, Ghana.

This appointment is based on his extensive experience in strategic communications. The Cameroonian communications professional previously led communications for the Confederation of African Football (CAF), where he spearheaded the organization’s visibility and image across the continent.

His experience spans several sectors in Africa. He advises institutions and businesses on communications, brand strategy, and influence. Before joining the AfCFTA, he headed strategy at Hémisphère Media Production Africa and chaired the AI For Africa Initiatives network, dedicated to the challenges of artificial intelligence on the continent.

At the AfCFTA, Alexandre Siewe will be responsible for communications for a project that unites 55 African countries and more than one billion people. His mission is to increase the project’s visibility and facilitate its understanding among citizens, businesses, and policymakers.

This appointment comes in the context of the gradual implementation of the African Common Market. His first task is to manage communications for the Biashara Afrika 2026 forum, scheduled to take place in Lomé, Togo.
