Yacine Faqir has been appointed CEO of Revolut in Morocco. His mission will be to obtain the necessary licenses, launch the business as a payment operator, and ultimately, pursue a banking license within two years.
With extensive experience in the financial sector, Yacine Faqir was Vice President of Products and Solutions at Mastercard for North and Francophone Africa. There, he led the strategy for payment cards, solutions for SMEs, and new payment flows.
Faqir also worked as a consultant for the World Bank, focusing on fintech and credit infrastructure in Africa. In Morocco, he was Managing Director of Quantik DBCB Credit Bureau, where he established the credit bureau, managed data governance, and oversaw multidisciplinary teams.
