Rudêncio Morais has been appointed Chairman and CEO of the state-owned hydrocarbon company, Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos (ENH), by decision of the Mozambican Council of Ministers.
A geological engineer by training, Rudêncio Morais has extensive experience in the oil and gas sector. He previously worked at ENH as an administrator in charge of exploration and production, with a strong focus on the upstream sector. He contributed to structuring projects in the Rovuma Basin and participated in strategic negotiations with international companies to increase the state’s stake in oil blocks. He also represented ENH at several international energy conferences.
His career includes close collaboration with major global players such as TotalEnergies, ExxonMobil, and Eni in the development of gas projects in Mozambique.
