DRC: Mehdi Ben Messaoud takes over as head of Brasimba

Mehdi Ben Messaoud is appointed Head of Simba Breweries (Brasimba) in the DRC, succeeding Gaëtan Van Belle, now General Manager of Refreshing Drinks of Burkina Faso (Brakina).

Graduated in management and commerce in Tunis and Paris, and holder of an MBA-DESS from ESCAIA, the latter benefits from a solid international experience. His career began with the Winegrowers of Carthage in Tunisia, before joining Heineken as sales manager and then in business development. In 2013, his career continued at Beiersdorf, manufacturer of Nivea, with a function of DG North and Sub-Saharan Africa, before heading the subsidiary in Indonesia in 2020.

At Brasimba, Messaoud will supervise the factories in Lubumbashi, Mbuji-Mayi and Beni, covering the south and east of the DRC. Recognized expertise in management and business development should contribute to strengthening the production and distribution of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages of the subsidiary.
