BIDC: Ismaël Nabé succeeds Cassiel Ato Baah Forson

Ismaël Nabé has been elected Chairman of the Board of Governors of the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID).

He succeeds Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, whose tenure was praised for his work in a challenging international economic environment.

Currently Guinea’s Minister of Planning, International Cooperation, and Development, Ismaël Nabé is a telecommunications engineer and an expert in governance and public-private partnerships. His career demonstrates extensive experience in managing development policies and leading economic reforms.

Since 2024, he has played a key role in Guinea’s economic transformation. He is notably the driving force behind the “Simandou 2040” program, a comprehensive development plan encompassing more than 120 projects and several structural reforms. Under his leadership, Guinea also obtained its first sovereign rating from Standard & Poor’s, rated B+ with a positive outlook, an important step for its economy.
