Aminata Ndiaye Niang has been appointed CEO of Orange Madagascar. She succeeds Frédéric Debord and takes the helm of the Malagasy subsidiary after serving as Deputy CEO of the Sonatel Group.
A graduate of École Polytechnique and École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications in Paris, Niang began her career at Accenture, specializing in change management. In 2004, the new CEO joined the Orange Group through a program for young African talent, driven by a desire to contribute to the continent’s development.
At Sonatel, the Senegalese executive held several key positions. In 2015, the relaunch of Orange Money enabled the company to regain its leadership in the money transfer market. This was followed by the transformation of the Customer Base Management division into a regional center of expertise for six countries, before its influence was extended to the entire Africa and Middle East region.
