Norman Weber has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Seychelles Pension Fund, bringing to the position extensive experience in finance and governance.
A UK Chartered Certified Accountant (CCA) with a Master’s degree in Finance from the London School of Economics, he possesses a distinguished background and a long and distinguished career in financial management.
Starting his career in 1976 as head of the accounting firm Michael Angus, Pool and Co, Weber developed expertise in auditing and accounting. Between 1980 and 1998, he held key positions at the Seychelles Ministry of Finance, including Chief Treasury Accountant, Director of Budget and Planning, and Principal Secretary—one of the highest-ranking positions in the administration.
A respected professional, he also served as Governor of the Central Bank of Seychelles from 1999 to 2001, overseeing monetary policy and financial regulation. In the private sector, he has successfully developed and managed investment projects in Seychelles and South Africa.
Head of the Seychelles Bankers Association since 2017 and Chairman of the Board of the Development Bank of Seychelles in 2021, Weber brings extensive expertise and proven leadership to the pension fund, ensuring strategy and good governance.
