Ifeyinwa Osime has been appointed Chair of the Board of Directors of Access Bank, one of Nigeria’s leading banks. She succeeds Paul Usoro San, who recently retired, and will lead the board to support the group’s growth strategy and sustainable development in Africa.
A lawyer by training, Osime has served on Access Bank’s board since November 2019 as an independent non-executive director. Over the years, she has chaired the Human Resources and Sustainability Committee as well as the Governance, Nomination and Remuneration Committee, strengthening the group’s governance standards and leadership policies.
She has also played a key role in integrating sustainability considerations into the bank’s strategy and monitoring development projects. Her strong legal and strategic background enables the bank to better manage risks and ensure continuity of governance.
