Wilnette Joseph has been appointed Deputy Director General of the Seychelles Maritime Safety Authority.

She has extensive experience in legal counsel, regulatory compliance, and policy development. The new executive is recognized for her rigor and ability to operate effectively in highly regulated environments.

Prior to this appointment, she served as Head of Legal and Policy Services at Air Seychelles Limited. In this role, she oversaw legal matters, ensured compliance with applicable standards, and advised management on governance, labor law, and risk management.

Wilnette Joseph also held senior management positions at Abacus (Seychelles) Limited and at the Seychelles Maritime Safety Authority, where she contributed to drafting legislation and monitoring international conventions. Holding a Master’s degree in International Maritime Law, she will strengthen the institutional capacity of the Seychelles maritime sector.
