Alban Faniry Rakotoarisoa (Baba) is the new Director General of Civil Aviation of Madagascar (ACM).
With over twenty years of experience in the aviation sector, he brings solid expertise to the role. Baba worked at Air France from 2001 to 2023, where he held several key positions related to the management and organization of air transport.
In parallel, he has also been involved in politics. President of the Antoko Politika Madio (APM) party, Baba was elected to parliament in 2024 under the Firaisankina platform. A candidate for mayor of Antananarivo in 2019, he has also participated in several citizen movements. His background, combining international experience and public engagement, makes him a promising candidate to revitalize Malagasy civil aviation.
