Dr. Anis El Mekkaoui has taken the leadership role at Roche Morocco, succeeding Dr. Sanaa Sayagh, who has been promoted to Roche Indonesia. In his new position, he is tasked with promoting health approaches, strengthening strategic partnerships, and supporting the transformation of the Moroccan healthcare system.

With over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector, Dr. El Mekkaoui is an expert in commercial strategy, marketing, sales, and medical affairs. A physician with a master’s degree in biopharmaceutical management from ESCP Paris, he has worked in North Africa, the Middle East, and Central and Eastern Europe.

At Roche Morocco, he has held key positions, including Director of Sales and Marketing, and then Director of Commercial Operations, where he supported access to care and health innovation. Dr. El Mekkaoui is also the President of the Association of Pharmaceutical Companies in Morocco (LEMM) and contributes to the evolution of the Moroccan pharmaceutical industry.
