Yvana Thérèsine has been appointed Executive Director of the Drug Prevention and Rehabilitation Agency.
With over 30 years of experience in health services, education, and drug prevention, she brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to the role.
Holding a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Warwick (UK) and a Bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion from Curtin University of Technology (Australia), Thérèsine began her career as a nurse in 1992. In 1998, she joined the Ministry of Health as a health educator. Over the years, she has held several key positions at the National Institute of Health and Social Studies (NIHSS), including lecturer, student support officer, and studies coordinator.
In 2012, Yvana Thérèsine became Director of the Drug and Alcohol Council, then joined the Agency for the Prevention of Substance Abuse and Rehabilitation in 2017 as Director of the Prevention and Education Division. Since May 2022, she has been Director General of Human Resources and Administration at the Health Care Agency.
