Thierno Abdoulaye Sow, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Guinea, has been appointed Chairman of the Group of African Ambassadors accredited to Qatar. The decision was unanimously adopted at a meeting at the Diplomatic Club in Doha, in the presence of numerous African diplomats.

With his extensive experience in diplomacy, the diplomat has earned the trust of his colleagues. He has played a significant role in strengthening Guinea’s relations with other countries and in promoting cultural and economic exchanges between Africa and the rest of the world.

In his acceptance speech, he thanked his peers for their support and called for unity: “Our strength comes from our cohesion and our determination to defend Africa’s interests in Qatar,” he said. Under his chairmanship, the Group aims to enhance its visibility and influence in Qatar and develop African partnerships in the diplomatic, economic, and cultural spheres.
