Deweh E. Gray has been appointed Resident Representative of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in Togo. Based in Lomé, the Diplomat’s mission will be to strengthen collaboration between ECOWAS and the Togolese government, support peace and security initiatives, promote economic development, and advocate for democracy and good governance in the region.
Prior to this appointment, Gray served as Liberia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. Her role included overseeing diplomatic affairs and strengthening the country’s international relations. Additionally, she chaired the Board of Directors of the Gbowee Peace Foundation Africa, an organization dedicated to peace and women’s empowerment in West Africa.
