Comoros and Madagascar participated in the 76th Extraordinary Meeting of the ASECNA Committee of Ministers, held in Dakar, Senegal. This meeting brought together air transport officials from member countries to rethink the strategy and financing of the African aviation sector.
Discussions focused on two key documents: the Strategic Orientation Plan 2026–2035 and the Services and Equipment Plan 2026–2030. According to the official statement, these documents define the roadmap towards a modern, safe aviation sector capable of achieving greater technological autonomy. Participants also addressed the issue of financing to ensure the effective implementation of these projects.

The delegation also met with the Bwangoma port control mission and the Comorian ambassador to Senegal to advance air and maritime infrastructure projects.
For its part, Madagascar, represented by the Minister of Transport and Meteorology, Raharisone Juste Créascent, advocated for greater consideration of national needs.
