Two Trade Shows to Discover Madagascar
From June 11 to 14, 2026, the International Conference Center (CCI) in Ivato will host two major events: the International Tourism & Travel Madagascar (ITM) and the International Handicraft Fair Madagascar (IHM).
These trade shows bring together nearly 500 exhibitors and benefit from the support of more than 50 partners and sponsors. They offer a unique opportunity to discover Malagasy tourism and handicrafts.
These trade shows showcase the rich cultural heritage of Madagascar and allow local artisans to gain international recognition. The presence of foreign buyers and industry professionals fosters networking, the development of partnerships, and the strengthening of domestic tourism.
According to the Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Lucie Vololoniaina, the challenge for 2026 is to significantly surpass the slight increase in tourist numbers recorded in 2025, when 330,000 visitors arrived in Madagascar.
To facilitate participation, the National Tourism Office of Madagascar (ONTM) has implemented a fully online registration system. All stakeholders in the tourism sector can thus register easily and quickly, reflecting the commitment to modernizing the industry.
During these trade shows, the International Forum, organized with the association “Tourism Without Borders,” will provide an opportunity to discuss solutions for more responsible and attractive tourism. In parallel, the ONTM is developing new strategies to attract more visitors. Press trips, trips for influencers, and initiatives targeting young people are planned to showcase the island from different perspectives.
