Vishal Joyram has been appointed Managing Director of AfrAsia Bank in Mauritius, effective October 2, 2025, replacing Thierry Vallet.
With over twenty years of experience in banking and finance, he has held senior positions in global markets, treasury, and wealth management. As Director of Global Markets at a major African and global financial group and Vice President of the Mauritius Stock Exchange, Joyram has strong expertise in regulation, risk management, and foreign exchange markets, providing the bank with strategic leadership for sustainable growth.
Holding a Global Executive MBA from INSEAD and a Master’s degree in Economics from Paris-Dauphine University, the new CEO emphasizes innovation, operational excellence, and a culture of continuous learning.
