Abiola Lukman Lawal has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the African Energy Chamber (AEC).
As Chairman of Digital Connect Infrastructure & Telecom (DCIT), this expert has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas, infrastructure, telecommunications, and aviation sectors.
The new leader led Eterna PLC as Managing Director and CEO, successfully turning the company around. Under his leadership, Eterna delivered Nigeria’s largest aviation fuel depot and returned to profitability in 2024. Revenue increased by 27%, operating profit grew by 166%, and the share price climbed by 117%.
At DCIT, the expert initiated a partnership with Vanu Inc. to install solar-powered mobile networks in underserved areas, combining energy innovation and connectivity to improve community life.
Recognized as one of Nigeria’s Top 25 CEOs in 2024, Lawal will bring strategic leadership to the AEC to support energy development and infrastructure strengthening in Africa.
