Johann Pless was re-elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federation of Hoteliers and Restaurateurs of Madagascar (FHORM) at the General Assembly held on November 11.
An entrepreneur at heart, he heads the KUDéTA Group, which includes a restaurant-hotel and a bar-nightclub, as well as the Résidence Lapasoa Boutik Hotel in Antananarivo. Pless is also the founder of the AKOA Hotel restaurant and the Cagette Canteen & Deli in Bangkok, Thailand.
Under his chairmanship, FHORM has trained hundreds of young people in the hospitality, sustainable tourism, and customer service sectors. He also serves on the National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality and the Confederation of Tourism of Madagascar, where he is Vice-President of the Accommodation/Food Service division.
