New Support from Korea
A donation of computer equipment valued at $400,000 was made as part of strengthening cooperation between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MESUPRES) and the Republic of Korea.
The handover ceremony took place on April 27, 2026, in Fiadanana, Antananarivo. The donation includes computers, printers, video projectors, tablets, and other IT equipment. It aims to improve learning and working conditions in Malagasy universities. The equipment will be distributed gradually to public and regional universities, according to a plan established by the Ministry.
During the ceremony, a partnership agreement was signed between the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Ravonimanantsoa Ndaohialy Manda-Vy, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Madagascar, Park Jihyun. This agreement aims to strengthen existing cooperation between the two parties and develop new joint initiatives to support higher education.
The Minister emphasized the importance of properly using and maintaining this equipment to ensure its longevity and maximize its benefits for students. He also reiterated that the Government, through the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MESUPRES), continues its efforts to equip the country’s universities and remains open to partnerships that contribute to educational development.
