Alain De Comarmond has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Seychelles Islands Foundation.

Experienced and respected in public administration, he has worked in the fields of environment, blue economy, and natural resource management. He has held senior government positions, including Principal Secretary in ministries related to energy, climate change, and the blue economy.

Over the years, the new Chairman has led numerous projects to protect coastal areas and help the country adapt to climate change. He frequently represents Seychelles at international and regional meetings on the environment and sustainable development.

Alain De Comarmond also participates in government committees and international partnerships on biodiversity, marine conservation, and pollution control. A recognized expert, De Comarmond regularly shares his experience at international conferences and workshops.
