Aviation safety: five officially approved companies

Madagascar Airlines and Four Other Officially Authorized Operators

The Civil Aviation Authority of Madagascar (ACM) has announced that five airlines have been authorized to operate commercial flights for the public.

This decision aims to strengthen the safety and regulation of air transport in the country, while offering travelers more choice. Among these airlines, Madagascar Airlines is authorized to operate scheduled and charter flights, both domestically and internationally, according to the official statement.

Three other operators—Madagascar Trans Air, GS Aviation, and HFF Travel Airways—can also operate charter flights, both domestically and internationally. These airlines will be able to meet the specific needs of passengers and organize flights according to specific requests, thus offering more tailored services.

As for Madagascar Fly Alliance, it is authorized to operate only charter flights within Madagascar. Although limited to the territory of Madagascar, this authorization represents an opportunity for growth and diversification of the airline’s services.

The ACM clarified that this list may change and urged the public to rely solely on authorized companies for their travel. Authorities also reiterated that the use of private aircraft must remain strictly personal. Any unauthorized commercial operation could result in administrative and legal penalties in accordance with the law.
