On January 22, 2025, during the Cabinet meeting, Scyrielle Sende Etali was appointed as the Director General of the Gabonese Agency for the Development of the Green Economy (AGADEV). AGADEV’s mission is to enhance the country’s natural capital, promote carbon and biodiversity credits, and attract green investments. Under the Ministry of Economy, the agency aims to make Gabon a leader in green economy and environmental conservation in Central Africa, according to an unofficial source.
As Director General, Scyrielle Sende Etali is responsible for leading AGADEV. She coordinates economic development and environmental preservation. The implementation of research, innovation, and ecosystem restoration projects is at the heart of her mission. An expert from the Ministry stated, “With AGADEV, we have the opportunity to transform our economic model while protecting our environment.”
Scyrielle Sende Etali has over 12 years of experience in business management and administration. She has held several key positions, including Director of Asset Management and Director of General Administration. Her diverse career will enable her to tackle the challenges related to AGADEV’s governance, such as project financing and coordination between the public and private sectors.
