Edgard Razafindravahy has been appointed as the new Secretary General of the Indian Ocean Commission (IOC). The announcement was made during an extraordinary meeting of the IOC Council of Ministers on Monday, July 15, 2024. Professor Vêlayoudom Marimoutou will be succeeded by Edgard Razafindravahy, who becomes the tenth Secretary General of the IOC.
