Gregory Nott has been appointed to the board of directors of the African Energy Chamber (AEC), strengthening the institution’s legal and regulatory expertise.
As a Director and Head of the Africa Department at Norton Rose Fulbright, he has over thirty years of experience advising on energy, infrastructure, and project finance across Africa.
Throughout his career, Nott has advised major international companies on strategic investments in the oil and gas sector in Southern Africa. He is also active in renewable energy, particularly solar and wind projects in South Africa. In the infrastructure sector, he has led multi-billion-dollar projects, including ports, roads, railways, and renewable energy plants in Burundi, as well as power transmission lines between Ethiopia and Kenya.
Nott also conducted a ten-year international arbitration in the telecommunications sector and supported significant initiatives for African financial integration. His appointment allows the AEC to better support investors, governments and project promoters in their decisions.
