New Agreement Signed with the FIPHFP
Building on existing initiatives to promote professional inclusion, the Réunion Region is strengthening its commitment to the employment of people with disabilities.
This Tuesday, April 21, the Region signed a new agreement with the FIPHFP (French National Fund for the Integration of People with Disabilities in the Public Sector), in the presence of Vice-President Lorraine Nativel and the President of the National Committee, Françoise Descamps-Crosnier. The goal is to make public services more accessible and enable everyone to work in suitable conditions, according to their abilities and needs.
The Region is already working on several key areas, such as access to employment, job retention, adapting working conditions, career development, and raising awareness among staff. This new agreement reinforces these efforts and provides more resources to further develop them.
A key aspect of this commitment is the doubling of the agreement’s budget. “This demonstrates the community’s commitment to investing more to make inclusion more tangible and effective on the ground,” according to Lorraine Nativel.
Beyond financial resources, this initiative also aims to better organize disability policy within the community. This approach involves all departments and relies on specialized partners to support the employees concerned.
For Vice-President Lorraine Nativel, this commitment is also a matter of values. “No employee will be left behind. Throughout their career, their rights will be respected and their needs taken into account,” she stated.
