Russia donates to Malagasy public health system

Bringing medical aid to the population

The Russian Embassy has donated 110,000 USD to the Malagasy Ministry of Health, enhancing its collaboration with the WHO.

The aim of this initiative is to enhance the country’s capabilities in combating infectious diseases and support communities affected by Cyclone Gamane. On June 5, the Malagasy Ministry of Health received a 120,000 USD donation from the Russian Embassy as part of its collaboration with the WHO. The donation event took place at the Communal House of the United Nations in Antananarivo.

The donation package includes 23 basic medical kits for treating infectious diseases and 16 « IEHK 2017 » medical modules. These kits come with consumables, medical products, and equipment for patient care. This contribution will help Madagascar prepare for potential cholera cases and provide medical assistance to populations affected by natural disasters.
