Innovative communication strategies to promote health
On Monday, May 6, Dr. Kailesh Jagutpal, the Minister of Health and Welfare, unveiled the « Mo Bienet » intelligent health mobile application. This initiative stems from a collaboration between the Ministry of Health and Welfare in Mauritius and the World Health Organization (WHO).
Dr. Kailesh Jagutpal emphasized the Ministry’s dedication to deploying innovative communication channels to bolster public health outreach, catering to both the populace and healthcare practitioners effectively. Acknowledging the collaborative efforts of the World Health Organization (WHO) and Mauritius Network Services (MNS), he delineated the objectives of the « Mo Bienet » mobile application. These objectives include disseminating health information to the public, equipping healthcare professionals with infection prevention and control resources, and conducting patient satisfaction surveys to enhance public health services.
The « Mo Bienet » mobile application comprises two distinct sections tailored for general users and healthcare practitioners, as highlighted by the Minister of Health. Dr. Kailesh Jagutpal underscored the significance of this app in elevating patient care standards. Moreover, this technological tool facilitates prompt access to national guidelines and protocols for frontline healthcare providers.
