Applying the acquired knowledge to combat malaria
Participants in the microbiology training are now better equipped to contribute to the fight against malaria.
Last Friday, at the facilities of the National Malaria Control Program (PNLP), the closing ceremony of the microscopy training took place. This training, led by World Health Organization expert Mamadou Alpha Diallo, provided certificates to twelve microscopists from Ngazidja, Ndzuani, and Mwali. He expressed his joy over the participants’ dedication and motivation. All attendees showed consistent commitment and diligence throughout the course, and they are now ready to contribute to the collective fight against this disease.
On behalf of the Director-General of Health, Dr. Hadjira Abdoulatuf emphasized the importance of applying the acquired knowledge to combat malaria. This training is not only a significant event but also marks a major step towards eradicating malaria in the country. She expressed her deep gratitude to the WHO for its unwavering dedication to the fight against malaria.
« We need your support to strengthen the skills of our medical teams and optimize the diagnostic tools available in the field », she said. Dr. Abdoulatuf also thanked Dr. Mamadou Alpha Diallo for his expertise and commitment, which were invaluable resources during the training.
Speaking on behalf of the participants, Stéphane Nassurou stated that they are now trained to identify all malaria parasites. « We are now able to share our knowledge with other specialists in the field and hope to benefit from similar training programs in the coming years », he said.
