Contributing to the sustainable development of Seychelles
Maxim Behar, honorary consul general of Seychelles in Bulgaria, visited the Beau Vallon administrative office, taking the opportunity to donate a laptop with all essential pre-installed software.
The diplomat also provided sports equipment, such as footballs, tennis rackets, balls, and T-shirts with the logo « Mon Kontan Beau Vallon » (I Love Beau Vallon). This gesture was part of a program launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tourism, in which Behar collaborated with the honorary consuls of Seychelles in Israel, Jordan, and Bangladesh to « adopt » the district.
John Hoareau, National Assembly representative for the Beau Vallon district, and Mirenda Cardovillis, district administrator, expressed their gratitude as they accepted the donation during a ceremony at the administrative office building. « It’s a privilege and a responsibility to be able to provide such beneficial equipment to my charming district of Beau Vallon, where I have lived for several decades and where I believe I know almost every resident personally », Behar stated.
Two years ago, Behar donated a significant amount of sports equipment to Marie-Céline Zialor, the Minister for Youth, Sports, and Family, to support football training for the Indian Ocean Island Games. He also previously donated a set of musical instruments to the Seychelles School of Music, Dance, and Drama a few years ago. Just last week, President Wavel Ramkalawan awarded Behar a special medal for his long-standing commitment to Seychelles.
