Facilitating financial inclusion for Malagasy citizens
BNI Madagascar announced on Friday, March 15, 2024, a strategic partnership with MoneyGram, a global leader in money transfer services.
This collaboration aims to provide Malagasy people with a simple and efficient solution to receive money from abroad. According to Fanja Rasoloarijao, BNI Madagascar’s Network Director. The partnership allows money transfers from all over the World to be received at a competitive price, benefiting a wide range of beneficiaries, regardless of whether they are bank customers.
Alexandre Mei, Managing Director of BNI Madagascar, emphasized the importance of this initiative in promoting financial inclusion. By opening branches to segments of the population without bank accounts, BNI Madagascar aims to provide easier access to money transfers.
Practically, this partnership simplifies the process of receiving money from abroad. Recipients only need to fill out a form and provide identification, making the process inclusive and practical. This approach aligns with BNI Madagascar’s vision as a universal bank serving individuals, professionals, entrepreneurs, SMEs, large corporations, and institutions.
