Maddalena Bertolotti has been appointed Representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Guinea. This appointment brings extensive experience with UNICEF.
Her first assignment was in 2007 in Burundi, as a Donor Relations Specialist. Subsequently, she held several strategic positions in Syria, Senegal, and then at UNICEF’s Middle East and North Africa Regional Headquarters, where she led program coordination and planning from 2021 to 2025.
Before joining the United Nations system, her involvement with SOS Kinderdorf International allowed her to coordinate programs in Africa, particularly in Cameroon and Ethiopia, focused on family strengthening and community development.
