Yasser Shaker has been appointed CEO of Orange Middle East and Africa (OMEA) effective July 1, 2025, succeeding Jérôme Hénique, who is taking over as CEO of Orange France. This appointment was made official by the telecoms group in a press release dated May 5, 2025.
Currently serving as CEO of Orange Egypt, Yasser Shaker also joins the group’s Executive Committee and will report directly to Christel Heydemann, CEO of Orange.
Holding a degree in telecommunications from Cairo University and an MBA from the Rennes School of Business, Yasser Shaker has over 25 years of solid experience in the technology sector. After beginning his career in the satellite sector, he joined Orange in 2007, where he held strategic positions, including Chief Technology and Information Officer (CTIO) for the Middle East and Africa region.
