Trescal: new France-Africa DG

Laurent Labatut has been appointed Managing Director of Trescal France and Africa, the global specialist in metrology services announced. He succeeds François Moïse, who will retire at the end of 2023, and joins the group’s executive committee.

A graduate in finance, Laurent Labatut has built a solid career in the industrial sector. The new CEO began his career at Safran, first in France and then in the United States, before joining Trescal in 2014 as Group Treasurer. His career within the company led him to the position of Chief Financial Officer for France in 2017, then Deputy Managing Director in 2021.

His appointment comes at a symbolic time, as Trescal celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2024. “I am very pleased to lead the company’s historic region. I intend to leverage all my experience and the quality of our teams to support our customers with high-performance and innovative metrology solutions,” said the new CEO.

The company’s CEO, Guillaume Caroit, welcomed this appointment and expressed his confidence: “Laurent has my full confidence to continue the company’s development in France and Africa.”
