Innocent Ike appointed CEO of Access Holdings

Innocent Ike has been appointed Managing Director of Access Holdings, the parent company of Access Bank, Nigeria’s leading financial group.

The 61-year-old CEO has over thirty years of experience in finance. A recognized expert, Ike spent ten years at Access Bank, where he rose to General Manager and oversaw portfolios in the corporate, commercial, and public sectors. Between 2020 and 2022, the specialist led Polaris Bank and launched VULTe, a highly successful digital banking platform.

A graduate in accounting from the University of Lagos, the new CEO combines financial skills with digital expertise.

This appointment is part of Access Holdings’ digitalization plan. In 2024, the group invested 193.5 billion naira (USD 125 million) to strengthen its IT department. The expert will work in collaboration with Lanre Bamisebi, Executive Director in charge of technology, to modernize the bank and support its expansion in Africa.
