François Provost is appointed Chief Executive Officer of Renault S.A. and Chairman of Renault S.A.S. A graduate of the École Polytechnique and the École des Mines de Paris, this expert began his career in the French civil service before joining Renault in 2002.

Since then, the new CEO has held several key positions within the group. The CEO worked in Russia as Deputy CEO, then led Renault Samsung Motors in Korea for five years. He then took over as CEO of Renault in China, followed by President of the Asia-Pacific region. Most recently, this specialist oversaw international development, partnerships, purchasing, and public affairs.

Thanks to this extensive international experience, particularly in China, Africa, the Middle East, and Korea, the CEO has a perfect command of the group’s key markets. His successes include the transformation of the alliance with Nissan and the launch of strategic partnerships with Geely and Aramco.
