Cyrille Lavoisier Kemayou has been appointed Africa Head of the American specialist Vanu Inc., an expert in expanding mobile networks in remote or underserved areas.
The new manager joins Vanu after serving as a special advisor at Eneo, the Cameroonian energy giant, where he led digital business development. With proven experience, this expert previously managed the Rwandan subsidiary of IHS Towers from 2019 to 2021 and held the position of number two in the Cameroonian branch between 2012 and 2019, strengthening his expertise in telecom infrastructure.
Holding a master’s degree from Esstic Yaoundé II and trained at Harvard Business School, the CEO began his career at MTN Cameroon in 2002 before moving to Ringo and Unipal Central & West Africa, a distributor for Procter & Gamble. At Vanu, the new CEO will oversee subsidiaries in Côte d’Ivoire, Rwanda, Benin, South Africa, and Nigeria. His primary mission is to strengthen existing partnerships, expand into new markets, particularly in Central Africa, and raise funds to support investment programs.
Under the supervision of US-based CEO Andrew Beard, the Cameroonian CEO intends to accelerate the deployment of telecom towers in areas that are still uncovered across the African continent.
