Canninah Dladla has been appointed Cluster President for Anglophone Africa at Schneider Electric, effective June 1, 2025. The first woman to hold this position in the region, she succeeds Devan Pillay, who will lead the Heavy Industries segment in London.
With 29 years of experience, Dladla held key positions at Schneider Electric between 2008 and 2013, including as Vice President of the Energy Division. After her time at the company, the new leader consolidated her expertise at Rockwell Automation, overseeing African operations and leading business and cultural transformation projects. Her background also includes strategic roles at GE Power, where she led major transformation initiatives.
In her new role, Dladla will be responsible for operations in 24 Anglophone African countries, with regional headquarters in Johannesburg. The focus will be on digitalization, electrification, and talent development to meet the region’s growing energy needs. The President looks forward to contributing to innovation and growth in a region undergoing an energy transformation.
