On June 17, 2025, Visa announced the appointment of Aminata Kane as Senior Vice President for West and Central Africa. She is scheduled to begin her role on September 4 in Abidjan, where the new regional headquarters will be located.
Aminata Kane’s professional career is marked by more than ten years of experience in digital financial services. Her leadership of Orange Money Group and Orange Bank Africa enabled operations in 17 African countries. In Sierra Leone, an Orange Digital Center was also founded to train young people and women in digital careers.
Her academic profile includes degrees from HEC Paris and the MIT Sloan School of Management. Experience at Goldman Sachs and McKinsey in Paris further strengthens this expertise. The World Economic Forum has recognized Aminata Kane as a Young Global Leader, and the 100 Most Influential Women CEOs in Africa lists her among the continent’s leaders.
