Amethis, a private equity firm specializing in African economies, has appointed Anass Belmehdi as Chief Investment Officer for its Casablanca office. This appointment comes as the fund, currently in the midst of deploying “Amethis Fund III,” aiming to raise USD 400 million, is expanding its presence on the African continent.
With over 12 years of experience in private equity, Anass Belmehdi brings extensive expertise to the firm. A graduate of the École Supérieure d’Électricité (Supélec), the manager continued his studies at Paris-Dauphine University and then at Sciences Po Paris, where he earned a master’s degree in finance and strategy.
His career began at Deloitte in Paris, before joining CFG Bank in Casablanca, where the new Director participated in several mergers and acquisitions and fundraising transactions. In 2019, he joined the OCP Group and played a key role in the external growth strategy of the OCP Nutricrops division.
In this new position, Anass Belmehdi will be responsible for identifying investment opportunities in North Africa, contributing to the development of Amethis’s business in the region.
