Pramod Prusty has been appointed Chairman and CEO of Africa Minerals and Metals Processing Platform (A2MP), the mining division of the Equitane Group, co-founded by Gagan Gupta. A geologist by training, Prusty has extensive experience in the sector.
His career began at the Ministry of Environment and Forests in India, before continuing with exploration campaigns for Pyrites Phosphates & Chemicals. His international experience expanded, overseeing the expansion of Ispat Industries’ activities in Latin America and managing BMM Ispat’s mining operations, before holding a key position within the Essar Group.
As head of Fortuna Holdings, a Singapore-based family office and investor in A2MP, the new CEO has contributed to several key projects, such as FG Gold in Sierra Leone, supported by the AFC and Afreximbank. Under this leadership, A2MP intends to continue developing structuring projects in Africa: gold in Mali, bauxite in Cameroon, precious stones in Madagascar and Mozambique, copper and lithium in Zambia.
