AFG Bank Cameroon’s Chairman and CEO, Léon Konan Koffi, has been reappointed until 2029. The directors made this decision following the bank’s solid financial performance. The institution granted loans worth 664.5 billion FCFA (1.197 billion USD), up 58.7% year-on-year, and deposits reached 942.7 billion FCFA, an increase of 32%.
This financial expert is a graduate of the Institut Supérieur de Gestion de Paris, the Manhattan Institute of Management in the United States, and the International Management Institute in Japan. Koffi joined the Atlantic Group in 2007 as CEO of Atlantic Financial Group Central and East Africa and has since held strategic responsibilities in the Banking & Insurance division.
Under his leadership, the company expanded its network to 23 agencies and financed public and private projects, including the Three-Year Emergency Plan for 190 billion FCFA, fully reimbursed by the State.
