Fayçal Bianrif has been appointed Director of the Rural Economic Development Center (CRDE) in Fomboni, Comoros. Order No. 025-007, signed on August 5 by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Handicrafts, formalizes this appointment.
The director succeeds Soibahadine Madi Attoumani, who has held the position for six years.
Known for his commitment to food security, farmer Fayçal Bianrif distributes his products throughout the country. A hands-on man, the expert aims to support local farmers in developing the agricultural sector together.
“For me, it’s not the appointment that matters, but the mission entrusted,” the director said after the official announcement.
With his experience, the specialist has already trained numerous young people in the agricultural sector. The farmer currently manages 14 plots of land on the island, some rented, others loaned free of charge to support production for public purposes. In just six months, the farmer harvested 20 tonnes of cassava and produced nearly 59,000 mini-cuttings.
