Young Comorians invited to register for the Student Job program

The Employment Center (Mde) announced on July 19, 2025, the launch of an office automation training program scheduled for August. This initiative is part of the “Student Job” program, which helps young Comorians better prepare for the world of work.

The Deputy Director General of the Mde, Arfachad Bacar, explained that this training will provide skills in basic computer tools, such as Word and Excel. He also emphasized the importance of knowing how to write a resume and cover letter to increase one’s chances of finding employment. This program aims to support students and recent graduates in their search for internships and jobs. The Employment Center invites all interested parties to register and share their needs. This program offers the opportunity to work during the holidays to better prepare for the start of the school year or to consider studying abroad.

Director General Saïd Hassani added that this approach is also useful for those who have completed their education and wish to enter the job market. The initiative seeks to bridge the gap between training and professional life by providing a first-hand experience. To date, approximately 500 companies have expressed willingness to recruit during the school holidays, thus offering candidates several opportunities. During the presentation, participants were able to ask questions and share their job search challenges.

The organizers called on all Comorians concerned to contact the Employment Center, which offers training and personalized support to facilitate this important step.
