Youth employment: the Madagascar Internship Center is redoubling its efforts

Three months of training to boost employability

The tenth edition of the Pôle Stage Madagascar (PSM) program began on May 7, 2025, in Anosy. This new session brings together 150 students from several public and private universities based in Ankatso: ESPA, ESTI, UCM, ESSA, ACEEM, INPF, ISCAE, and ONIFRA.

These students will participate in a three-month vocational training program. “The goal is to help them better prepare for their future careers by providing them with practical skills sought after by companies,” said Tiana Rasamimanana, President of the Madagascar Industries Union.

The program is the result of a collaboration between the Ministry of Industrialization and Trade, the Ministry of Labor, and the Madagascar Industries Union. The official opening took place in the meeting room of the Ministry of Economy and Finance in Anosy.

Several topics will be covered during the training. One of the main topics is entrepreneurial culture, presented by the MIC’s Entrepreneurship Promotion Department. Students will learn to better understand how businesses operate and develop a spirit of initiative.

This program addresses a common problem: the lack of professional experience among young graduates. Thanks to this training, participants will have a better chance of finding an internship, or even a job, after their studies,” added the President of SIM.

Pôle Stage Madagascar aims to create a bridge between young people, higher education institutions, and businesses. This initiative could change the daily lives of many students seeking concrete opportunities.
