ENARA hosts the SADC Bazaar

Madagascar Highlights its Local products

The SADC Bazaar brought together 200 pavilions where approximately 300 exhibitors presented various products, showcasing Malagasy expertise.

The event was held from August 14 to 18, 2025, at the ENARA International Exhibition Center on Lake Iarivo, during the SADC Heads of State meeting. The aim was to promote industrialization, crafts, and local products.

“When we have a vision and a will, even what doesn’t exist can exist, and what doesn’t stand can stand,” said President Andry Rajoelina, in front of the exhibition during the inauguration.

Visitors were able to discover a wide variety of products, the fruits of the labor and creativity of Malagasy artisans and entrepreneurs. The Ministry for the Promotion of Industry and Trade (MIC) also presented the Madagascar Commercial Information Portal (PICM) to better understand local businesses and facilitate trade.

The Bazaar was open to the public free of charge, and approximately 20,000 visitors were expected. Transport was arranged to facilitate access to ENARA Park.

After the opening ceremony, the President and his wife visited several pavilions, accompanied by Prime Minister Christian Ntsay, members of the government, the SADC delegation, and distinguished guests.
