A New Generation of Professionals

86 medical students received their diplomas during a ceremony at the International Conference Centre of Seychelles (ICCS).

Trained in fields such as emergency medical care, physiotherapy, and environmental health sciences, these young professionals join the new generation of the Seychelles medical sector.

The event, overseen by President Wavel Ramkalawan and First Lady Linda Ramkalawan, was attended by several dignitaries, including the Minister of Health, Peggy Vidot, and the Minister of Education, Dr. Justin Valentin.

A highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of special awards. Jean-Luc Rose, a graduate in emergency medical care, was awarded the President’s Cup, a laptop, and a scholarship for his excellent academic performance and leadership. Solana Marie was honored for her excellence in environmental health sciences.

NIHSS Director Ebrahim Ali emphasized the importance of this class for the future of healthcare in Seychelles, encouraging the graduates to apply their skills with compassion and to be innovative in the face of challenges facing the sector.

The ceremony featured musical performances and inspiring speeches. The event concluded with a group photo of the graduates with dignitaries and faculty, marking a transformational change for the Seychelles healthcare system.
