On July 4, 2025, the President of Seychelles, Wavel Ramkalawan, received a team of Chinese doctors at State House.
This meeting celebrates 40 years of collaboration between the two countries in the health sector. The delegation was accompanied by Lin Lan, Chinese Ambassador to Seychelles. This team is composed of five specialists: a cardiologist, a general surgeon, an acupuncturist, an orthopedic specialist, and a radiologist.
The Head of State thanked them for their work over the past two years at the Seychelles Hospital. The latter emphasized that their skills have greatly helped local patients. Ramkalawan also wished them every success for the future. During the meeting, the doctors shared their experiences and offered ideas for further developing this cooperation. The goal is to improve the quality of care and the health of the Seychellois population.
The head of the delegation explained that this meeting is an important moment. The spokesperson said they were proud to have helped the community over the past two years. “Working with local doctors has helped improve healthcare in the country,” he said.
Dr. Danny Louange, Director of the Health Care Agency, also welcomed the Chinese team.
