Concrete project expected after the Forum
Monday, June 23, 2025, represents an important milestone in economic relations between Madagascar and Egypt.
A high-level Business Forum is taking place in Antananarivo, bringing together around ten executives from major Egyptian companies and Malagasy private sector stakeholders. This meeting is part of an official economic mission led by the Egyptian Deputy Minister of Maritime Transport.
This event is being organized by the Egyptian Embassy in Madagascar, in collaboration with several Malagasy ministries: Foreign Affairs, Industrialization and Trade, Energy, Transport, Public Works, and Housing and New Cities. The support of the Economic Development Board of Madagascar (EDBM) strengthens this initiative. The program includes networking sessions, B2B meetings, and the presentation of investment projects targeting strategic sectors such as infrastructure, energy, construction, and maritime logistics. Field visits complete this system, facilitating a better understanding of local needs and the opportunities offered by the Malagasy market.
This mission follows a previous official visit to Egypt in November 2024. On that occasion, Malagasy representatives met with major industrial groups such as Elswedy Electric, Orascom, Arab Contractors, and Rowad Engineering. These discussions helped lay the foundations for strategic partnerships.
